Speakup for Autism are a self-advocacy group run by and for adults on the autism spectrum. They deliver training courses, they have been working with various local and regional organisations, and they meet regularly.
Rotherham Parent Carers' Forum (RPCF)
RPCF are run by, and caters for, parents and families with a disabled child in Rotherham. They have many families affected by autism among their service users. They run: support services for parents, carers, and siblings of children with additional needs; counselling; seminars, training courses, and information sessions.
Autism Family Support Team (AFST)
The AFST support families and young people (up to 25) with a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder. They provide information and advice, produce booklets, and run workshops.
Autism Communication Team (ACT)
Part of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, the ACT support schools with the education of children on the autism spectrum. They offer various packages of support.
Autism Plus run services for autistic people in South Yorkshire, including a supported employment scheme.
